Dr. Kate Bradforde joined Buderim Medical Centre in 2023. She completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science in 2007, then a Doctor of Medicine from Griffith University in 2017 after a stint living and travelling abroad. Kate spent her junior doctor years working in South East Queensland, mostly in the fields of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Emergency Medicine, and has since completed her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Kate has a keen interest in women’s health across the lifespan and holds a Diploma from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She offers services including IUD insertion, shared antenatal care, support for unplanned pregnancies, management of menstrual worries, contraception, and the peri/menopausal transition. Kate is a member of the Australian Menopause Society.

Diversity and inclusivity in health care is also something Kate feels strongly about, and she completed extended skills training during her fellowship in the field of sexual health. She welcomes patients needing PrEP, gender-affirming care, and is an accredited s100 prescriber for HIV.

Kate values the continuity of care and the partnerships she builds with her patients in General Practice. She enjoys focusing on lifestyle, preventative health, and long-term wellness.

When she is not working, Kate can be found spending time with her family outside on our beautiful Sunshine Coast.
